It was a well run tournament. Although the refs are volunteers, me and other coaches who have multiple years of experience felt that when refs are inexperienced the game and the players suffer. I would give my feedback as having refs over call than no calls at all, which seemed to hapeen. These kids are having fun foremost but they are being taught soccer as well. If they handball, push, hit, knock down other players on the field it is only being reinforced to those players that it is ok to do those unsportsmanlike actions in game. Over calling keeps parents settled on the sideline and protects the players on the field. Over all, it was a good tournament, too bad you couldn't control the weather.
