LOCATION CHANGE - 2010 Sts'ailes Day

Save the date event!!

PLEASE NOTE: the location of the July 28, 2010 Sts'ailes Day is now at the Chehalis Community School Gym located within the community on School Road and at the local beach.

Join the celebrations for the 2010 Sts'ailes Day!

The festivities start at 9am with slahal games (a fun traditional bone stick game) and drumming and singing in the gym.

Then enjoy the Sharing Successes portion of the day where Sts'ailes presents highlights of recent successes and displays will be posted - all of which is your opportunity to get caught up on the latest Sts'ailes news and celebrate the great work taking place.

Before we enjoy a delicious traditional meal at noon (BBQ fish and crab lovers rejoice!) we will be honoring some very important guests, including Commissioner Don Head, Correctional Service Canada.

In the afternoon everyone is welcome to make the short 2 min trip to the local beach for some exhibition canoe racing fun!

Dress for the weather and, of course, traditional wear is most welcome at these events.

Also, BYOP (Bring Your Own Plate-setting), which includes a dish, bowl, cup and eating utensils. It's so awesome to see our community embrace the old ways of coming to ceremony prepared - not mention that it is also an easy and enviro-friendly practice!

You may also want to remember your lawn chairs and sun block.

Have a wonderful time celebrating Sts'ailes!
